Conservation Commission

Mission

The Amesbury Conservation Commission is responsible for the protection, promotion and development of the City's natural resources and implementation of environmental protection regulations in the city.

Application & Form Submissions

The Commission considers applications for Notice of Intent (NOI), Request for Determination (RFD), Abbreviated Notice of Resource Area Delineation (ANRAD), and other matters. The deadline for submission of applications/forms is three weeks prior to the meeting date. Please check the schedule for any variations.

Applications and forms are available on the City's Online Permitting Portal. Applicants bear the responsibility and cost of posting legal notices in a local newspaper no less than five days prior to the meeting, mailing notifications to abutters (per certified list of abutters obtained from the Assessor's Office) via certified mail with return receipt requested. Applicant shall submit a copy of the legal notice from the newspaper and return receipt cards from the mailing to the Commission at the meeting.
