Lake Gardner

Lake Gardner includes a small, beautiful beach and trails that run along the lake to Battis Farm. It's a wonderful spot for families to spend a summer day, to go canoeing or kayaking, or go fishing.

Lake Gardner gets a weekly bacteria test during the summer, please check results before swimming to ensure your safety.

Beach Rules

  • There are no lifeguards, swim at your own risk
  • Dogs are not allowed on the beach from Memorial Day to Labor Day, per the Amesbury Health Department
  • Dogs must be leashed at all times on the trails, and on the beach in the off-season
  • No fires or grill use at any time, per the Amesbury Fire Department
  • Jet skis are prohibited, motorized boats may only be used by those who live on the Lake
  • Please swim within the buoys
  • Camps, programs or classes of any size or groups of 10 or more MUST submit a permit application for use of Lake Gardner beach. You must apply for a permit on www.AmesburyRec.com
