Parks & Recreation Commission

Mission Statement

The Parks and Recreation Commission maintains the inventory of parks and open space in the city, makes recommendations for long- and short-term maintenance and improvement plans, and approves the use of the city's parks and recreational facility for events.

Overview

Applicants interested in holding ongoing or special events must complete a Park and Facility Application. All facility use applications must be turned in to Amesbury Recreation by the third Monday of the month in order to be considered on the agenda for the next scheduled meeting. Amesbury is rich in its natural resources, with amenities that include:
