Carriagetown Car Show- Saturday, 9/23

Car Show

On Saturday, September 23rd, the Carriagetown Car Show will take place from 9:00am to 2:00pm in the downtown area. In preparation, there will be the following traffic and parking interruptions:

 

Days leading up to the event:

No parking signs will be posted at the event street locations. There will be no parking signs at the Friend Street parking lot and the City Hall parking lot as well.

Cars remaining at 8:00am on the day of the event will be towed at the owner’s expense.

 

8:00 am – Day Of

The immediate downtown area will be closed at 8am to allow for any set up that needs to occur by the DPW and event staff.

The first road closures will be from the rotary at Market Square up Main St. to the intersection of Main St. at School Street.

The second road closure will be from the Market Square Rotary up Friend St. to Pond St.  

 

9:00am – Day Of

Show starts.

Traffic Flow:  During the time of this event traffic will be detoured Up High St. from Elm St.  Traffic coming into the square from Market St. will be detoured up High St. or down Elm St.   Traffic from High St. will be Detoured to Market St. or Elm St.  Traffic at the intersection of Main St. and Sparhawk St. will be detoured down School St. to Pond St. and High St.

All participants in the event will have full access to the streets being closed to park their show cars.    

Pedestrian Traffic:   All spectators will have full access to the sidewalk areas as well as the street areas that are closed.

Show ends.

Barriers and cones removed, and roads are returned to normal traffic.
